A week without bread

November 2, 2008 · 6 Comments

If you listen to the popular media, advertisers, government health agencies and many nutritional ‘experts’ you’d be led to believe that bread is absolutely essential to our health and wellbeing. What a load of rubbish!

Are you trying to:

  • lose weight,
  • increase your energy levels,
  • feel better during the day,
  • relieve that rumbling stomach?

Try this: for one whole week remove all bread and bread-like (biscuits, cakes, muffins, crumpets etc) food items from your diet and replace them with carbohydrates from various vegetables. In fact, you would do well to replace the removed calories with good fats and good carbohydrates.
